Insparisk Introduces AI-Guided Parapet Self-Inspection for NYC Local Law 126 Compliance

QUEENS, N.Y., June 5, 2026. Insparisk, LLC today introduced an AI-guided parapet self-inspection tool that helps New York City building owners meet the annual parapet observation requirement under Local Law 126. The tool is available now as an add-on to Insparisk Command, the company's compliance platform, from $15 per month and priced by portfolio size, and can be purchased on its own or added to any plan, including the free tier.

Under the New York City rules tied to Local Law 126 of 2021, owners of buildings with parapets fronting the public right-of-way must have the parapet observed every year to identify dangerous conditions. The requirement took effect on January 1, 2024, and applies to buildings of any height, with an exception for detached one- and two-family homes. Importantly, the rule permits the observation to be performed by a qualified person capable of identifying hazards, which can include building superintendents, masons, and others in the construction trades, not only licensed engineers or architects.

Insparisk's tool turns that observation into a guided process that a qualified person on site can follow. Guided photo capture walks the user through each step, AI vision analyzes the photos against the official inspection checklist, and Command produces a retained, compliant PDF report the owner can keep on file for their records.

The add-on includes unlimited AI-assisted self-inspections for the buildings on a plan, so owners and managers can cover a full portfolio under a single subscription, with pricing that scales by portfolio size. Owners remain responsible for meeting the requirement and retaining their records, and the tool is designed to help them do both correctly and on time.

Parapet inspection under Local Law 126 is the first template available in the tool. Insparisk plans to add self-inspection templates for additional compliance requirements over time, extending the same guided, AI-checked approach to other recurring obligations.
