Information We Collect

Personal Information: When you request a quote, schedule an inspection, create an account, or contact us, we may collect:

• Billing information (processed securely through third-party payment processors)

Property and Equipment Information: To provide our inspection services, we collect:

• Building addresses and property details
• Equipment specifications (boilers, elevators, pressure vessels)

Automatically Collected Information: When you visit our website, we may automatically collect:

Insparisk connector for AI assistants: Insparisk offers a connector that AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT can use to look up building compliance information. When you ask an assistant a question that uses our connector, the assistant sends us only the details needed to answer it: a building address, city, state and ZIP code, a compliance topic, or a service type. We do not receive your conversation, your name, your email address or your account details with the AI assistant.

We use these details only to look up public records through Propply AI, our compliance data service, and to return the results to the assistant. Results for an address are held in memory for up to one hour, so repeated questions are fast, and are then discarded.

To protect the service from abuse, we limit how many requests can come from one network address. We store only a one-way hash of that address, never the address itself. Our service logs record which tool was used, the state, the topic or service type, and a one-way hash of the building address. We also keep a count of these requests (the tool, state, topic or service type, the AI assistant used, and the same one-way hashes) in our own database, so we can see how the connector is used. None of this is shared with third parties or used for marketing.

If you choose “Request inspection”, you leave the AI assistant and go to insparisk.com. The building address and service type are included in the link, and the rest of this Privacy Policy applies there. “Talk to an advisor” starts a phone call to Insparisk.

The AI assistant you use is operated by its own provider, whose privacy policy governs your conversation.

Business Visitor Identification: We use a third-party service to determine the organization associated with a visitor's network address. For some visitors in the United States, this service may also identify the individual visitor and provide their name, job title and business contact details. We use this to understand which businesses are interested in our services and to follow up with them in a business capacity. We do not use it to build profiles of consumers, and it does not run on our payment pages.

This activity may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under California law, and targeted advertising or profiling under the laws of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states. You can opt out at any time through Your Privacy Choices, and we automatically honour a Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser. Opting out does not affect the service you receive from us.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Send you inspection reminders, compliance notifications, and service updates
• Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support

Information Sharing and Disclosure

• Regulatory Authorities: We submit required inspection reports to relevant government agencies (NYC Department of Buildings, state authorities, etc.) as mandated by law
• Service Providers: We may share information with third-party vendors who assist us in operating our business, including payment processing, email delivery, hosting, cloud storage, analytics and business visitor identification. The providers we currently use are listed by name and purpose on our Security and Trust page.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Mobile numbers and text-messaging consent are never shared for marketing (see Text messaging below).

Text messaging

If you agree to receive text messages from Insparisk, we use your mobile number only to send the messages you asked for, such as quote follow-ups, inspection scheduling and confirmations, and account or billing notices. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or get help by replying HELP. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

This also applies to mobile numbers our staff provide for internal operational alerts.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

• Encryption of sensitive data in transit and at rest
